About Diego

Diego Garcia is an expert in the firm's Energy & Natural Resources practice, with a focus on Oil & Gas, Metals, and Mining.

Diego has worked with top management of many large national and multinational groups, as well as public sector organizations, across numerous industries and regions, including Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru. His core areas of expertise include oil & gas, mining & metals, steel, utilities, and renewables.

He has participated in engagements addressing corporate and business unit strategy, customer strategy & marketing, energy transition and sustainability, performance improvement, organization, procurement, M&A, and merger integration.

In the Oil & Gas sector, Diego has led assignments all along the value chain, including natural gas and LNG, unconventionals exploration and production, oil & gas midstream, refining & fuel distribution, energy transition, and green fuels.

Prior to joining Bain in 2007, he worked with the Techint Group and ExxonMobil.

Diego graduated with honors in mechanical engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires in Argentina.

He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English, and Slovenian.
