François Faelli is the leader of our global Sustainability practice.

He spearheads our firm's push to create a more sustainable, equitable, and inclusive world — both at Bain and with our clients — and advises key consumer goods executives throughout Europe, Asia, North America, and Australia.

His recent sector work has spanned food and beverages, pet food and luxury products, as well as home and personal care items. He has led multiple large, global transformation programs, especially across merger integration, organization, and growth acceleration.

In recent years, François has been extensively published on the tectonic shifts in global retail and their implications on the existential crises of consumer products companies.

He holds a Master's in business and economics, summa cum laude, from Solvay Business School, where he has been a professor of strategy since 2013.

François is deeply passionate about 19th-century French and 20th-century American literature, as well as video games. He also enjoys trail running and is on a five-year, uninterrupted losing streak against colleagues and clients in tennis.

Bain Partner François Faelli discusses how brands can adapt to the rapidly shifting retail industry.
