More on Power (and Pleasure)

There’s some more clarity on power coming through, and it has a few separate threads. Maybe I’ll start first with that: what do I mean by threads? The way my channel works is that I’m ‘shown’; in one way or another, various aspects of larger pieces that sometimes only make sense when they come together (threads woven, like a tapestry). Sometimes the threads work well as stand-alone snippets. Sometimes the threads feel scattered and a bit distant, as if I sort of catch one as it passes by my consciousness. Other times, like yesterday, they feel close by, almost like a cloak. Often, they’re what’s active in the collective, and an experience or piece in my life opens up a connection to a specific thread Continue reading More on Power (and Pleasure)

Power and EMpowerment

Today I was sitting and writing in a coffee shop, one of my favourite things to do, and something came clear(er) on power. Here’s my understanding of the message: We can only hold space for others to wield their own power, we cannot capture or possess power that was not ours to begin with. In attempting to capture false power (any that exists outside of ourselves), we burn ourselves out – we become so focussed on maintaining our hold on the (false) power that all else falls away. It’s only in returning to a deeply EMpowered sense of self/being that we find balance – in our Selves and in the external world. Nothing and no one can bestow power on you, nor can you take Continue reading Power and EMpowerment

Telling New Stories

Housesitting here by the sea, it feels healing and revitalising. I was standing on the pebbly beach today, and a message came through about our stories/patterns. Here’s how it was shown to me: Think of a handful of pebbles as a story. If you drop that handful back onto the beach, you won’t be able to replicate it again (unless you are purposely collecting it on a pristine surface). It seems we sometimes want to tell and retell old stories, and so we continue to pick up pebbles from that same stretch of beach, changing some of the elements and repeating some of them, over and over. As long as we try to retell the same stories, to or about ourselves or others, we’re not Continue reading Telling New Stories

You are Light

I’ve been quiet as I spent last month writing, writing, writing. I’m now at a month-long housesit by the sea, enjoying the solitude and the sound of seagulls 🙂 Yesterday, while out for a walk, I stopped on the pebbly beach to enjoy the November sun and the way it reflected on the water. I thanked the sun and the sky and the sea, and stood quietly, listening to the sounds of nature. Then there was a message, so pure and simple: ‘You are light. That is your only job.’ Just like the sun, what if the only thing we had to do each day was shine? No lists, no plans, no competition. Just being what and who we are, shiny and perfect in all Continue reading You are Light

Hold your Line

The energy for the past month and a bit has been chaotic, to say the least. The weather patterns and natural disasters are a kind of physical reflection of our collective chaos. It brings to mind the Nietzsche quote, ‘One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star.’ What we are collectively birthing is yet to be seen, but it will be nothing short of spectacular. What I keep hearing is ‘hold to your line.’ It reminds me of driving along a country road at night and it’s pitch black. All you can see is whatever the headlights illuminate before you. Suddenly it starts to hail, heavily. Then you notice animals at the side of the road, Continue reading Hold your Line
