An Exploration of Healing

I was feeling inspired by Boyan Slat and The Ocean Cleanup during today’s Full Moon in Scorpio. I love how this is a physical manifestation of toxicity that exists in our collective energy, and he is a beautiful example of persistent, patient movement towards a cleaner future. The Earth is consistently teaching us through her willingness to use her own being as a teaching tool. Big Love, ~ Jenny <3

How to Untangle Attachments

* Also see the post entitled ‘Defining Attachment,’ which explores varying levels of attachment, including enmeshment and entanglement * Releasing attachments to old experiences can be challenging. Especially so when they’ve left you feeling hurt, betrayed or otherwise unsettled. Perhaps you felt like you built your life around the thing, person or situation that’s no longer in your life, and the attachment is the only residual tie to the deep love you experienced. It’s as if the loyalty to your pain is a distorted way of expressing the love you felt. (This brings to mind the song ‘Landslide‘ by Fleetwood Mac). This goes deeper than simply missing someone, which is a fleeting feeling of nostalgia which arises and leaves you with a sense of warmth Continue reading How to Untangle Attachments

Healing and Addictions

There’s been a lot coming up for me around ways we soothe ourselves. Addictions are all designed to self-soothe. Some behaviours we may not connect with addictions are also self-soothing mechanisms. Consciousness is really key – asking if the choice we’re making in this moment is really nourishing us, or if it’s instead distracting us from feeling something. What also came up yesterday was that before (external) shifts, there are indicators of change that begin deep within. These can sometimes trigger the desire to soothe in some way, and again, being aware of what’s underneath the craving or need for a ‘hit’ is one way to ease into the change. There’s nothing wrong with soothing yourself – it’s really vital as you’re healing. The challenge Continue reading Healing and Addictions

Toxicity, Resonance & Healing

With this video, I hope to offer clarity on the concepts of toxicity, dissonance, resonance and healing. Happy 2016!! I’ve been detoxing for a few weeks and things are shifting rapidly. There are all kinds of insights coming up around the idea of toxicity and resonance, and how they contribute to healing on all levels of your being. As my physical body clears itself of heaviness, I feel lighter through my whole energy system. It feels like part of the integration process as we continue to ground the processing of the past several years in our physical ‘vessels.’ See also more clarity that came of this insight in the post entitled ‘Toxins and Integration.’ Big Love, ~ Jenny *If you enjoyed this video, you might Continue reading Toxicity, Resonance & Healing

Boundaried Self-love

I’ve recently joined something called the Wisdom Bloggers Sisterhood, which is a group of women bloggers joining forces to cover a specific topic each month. November is all about creative self love, using Cheryl Bridges’ book ‘28 Days of Creative Self-Love’ as a tool to inspire us. The deadline for the November posts is today, and as often happens, I’m writing against the clock. I have all kinds of reasons (excuses) I could use for this, but as I sat and examined it, I realised I’m scared shitless of this topic. I’ve written about self-love before, numerous times, and the reasons it’s so important. I’ve explored it from a bunch of angles and delved into it as a rational exercise, understanding it and feeling it. Continue reading Boundaried Self-love
